Coaching for personal and professional questions
Are you facing a decision, going round in circles over a question or wondering why a situation keeps becoming difficult? In coaching, we take time to look more closely at what is on your mind and develop possible next steps.
You can bring personal questions about your life as well as professional challenges. You do not need to see your situation as a crisis or already have a clearly defined goal.
What we can explore
Perhaps you want to take your career in a new direction or choose between several options. Perhaps your own wishes conflict with one another, a relationship is on your mind, or you notice that you tend to respond in the same way to certain situations.
Leadership responsibilities, difficult working relationships and strategic questions can also be starting points: What options do you have? What consequences can you anticipate? What fits your goals and the actual circumstances?
Working together
We begin by clarifying what is on your mind and where you would like support. I ask questions, help you put things in context and offer my perspective. Personal experiences and inner conflicts may be just as relevant as external demands.
My experience in psychotherapy and my training as a mediator inform my understanding of conflict. Previously, I worked as a lawyer in employment and medical law. This experience helps me consider different interests and possible consequences. You decide what to take from our work.
For businesses and organisations
I support professionals, managers and self-employed people with specific conflicts, questions about their roles, decisions and change. I work across sectors. My experience includes individual coaching for managers in healthcare, particularly around conflicts within teams.
If an organisation funds the coaching, we agree the brief, goals and arrangements together with the person receiving coaching. Any feedback to the organisation is clearly agreed in advance. Personal content from sessions is not shared without a corresponding agreement.
Coaching and psychotherapy
Coaching focuses on clarifying personal or professional concerns and is not a treatment for mental health conditions. You do not need to make this distinction yourself before contacting me. If a therapeutic setting appears more suitable, we discuss this and explicitly agree on how to proceed.
